Vinita Nair

In July 2004 she joined the station and covered a variety of stories, such as the probe into the death of Jon Benet Ramsey and the shootings in Bailey, Colorado. Nair joined ABC News as an anchor/correspondent for ABC News Now in December 2007. As a reporter, she anchored live coverage as well as news briefs on ABC's digital channel. Nair served as co-anchor on World News Now, America This Morning as well as ABC's digital network from September 17th, 2008 until February 18th, 2011. On both shows Nair was initially paired with Jeremy Hubbard then later Rob Nelson. Nair told the viewers on World News Now that she was not going to be on World News Now after Friday 18th February. Nair also announced that Friday would be one final day of work for ABC News. Peggy Bunker, a former anchor at KDVR Denver, was her directly succeeding her. In the February 18 issue of World News Now paid tribute to Nair in all three segments. It also featured appearances from former and present colleagues including Jeremy Hubbard.
