Miesha Theresa
Miesha Theresa Tate has been mixed martial artist for over a decade. Tate is also a mixed martial arts veteran. Tate was an athlete in Ultimate Fighting Championships. She was the UFC Women's Bantamweight champion. Since her school days, the Tacoma native was extremely athletic. She joined the mixed martial arts class within Central Washington University after a friend recommended the program. She fought her first amateur competition at 20 years old against Elizabeth Posener who was a Muay Thai specialist. She first made her appearance as a professional in the HOOKnSHOOT Women's One-Night Grand Prix, which took place in 2007. In the space of two years, she was awarded the FCF Women's Bantamweight Championship for first time. Tate's style of fight was based on wrestling as well as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. This earned her much admiration and praise. Soon after, her popularity grew when she became the first woman to be awarded the Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Championship. In addition to her mixed martial arts training, she has a modeling career on different websites and magazines like "ESPN The Magazine" as well as "Fitness Gurls". On her role in the EA Sports UFC video game it is her turn to play a playable role.
